We’re a team of Ball State journalists hungry to capture stories—and recipes—that celebrate the flavors of Muncie. [Meet us]

Our profiles portray the lives of producers, gardeners, nonprofit leaders and more as part of a storytelling movement to nourish the community and strengthen its food system.

Here’s how YOU can come to the table:

  • Add cherished recipes and stories to our digital cookbook.
  • Suggest neighbors we should profile or speak with us about your memories and experiences related to food.
  • Fill out a recipe card (or take a stack to your office, church or school) to pass out to family and friends. Then what? Give recipe cards to loved ones or return them to us to include in our digital cookbook. You may want to place them in Muncie’s Little Free Libraries. Request cards.
  • Review resource pages that share lists of pantries and nonprofits, details about area farms and festivals, and guides about personal gardening and composting.
